My Story

Kahkashan Ansary AKA KKay was born in Hyderabad (India) and raised in Saudi Arabia.Having grown up in a conservative culture, she sought ways to express herself. She often found herself in trouble for breaking rules and questioning societal expectations imposed on women. She uses Abstract Expressionism to battle the darkness of anxiety and depression with colors and to express freedom and hope, while exploring the complexities of human emotions.Kahkashan has a Bachelors in Business Administration from India, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Finance from Saudi Arabia. After working in her field for a while, she decided to pursue her passion and a degree in Art and Design at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. She is currently pursuing an Associates of Art in Graphic Design at Broward College where she also works as a Graphic Designer and Social Media manager. Her artwork has been showcased in Dania City Hall (2018), Riptide Music Festival (Ft. Lauderdale, 2018), Collective Ventures (Ft. Lauderdale, 2019) and Black Lives Matter Exhibition at the Dragonfly Gallery and Creative Spaces NFP (Chicago, 2020). She won the Honorable Mention Award at the 10th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit in Nova Southeastern University (Ft. Lauderdale, 2018),

I love creating art with different media. I've painted portraits, created digital art as wel as painted both commercial and residential murals.

I use my knowledge of Fine Art to design logos, products and brands

I love capturing moments and the art of life. I've done some fashion shoots as well as casual shoots.
